About

I am the product of my parents and theirs, a lively mix of Irish and French-German, heavy on the Irish. I am the third of eleven children, a family that consists of three girls and eight boys. Dad says he planned it that way to have enough men to be his pallbearers. His plan was successful.

I started this blog in 2005 when I discovered and became enamored with knitting. My oldest son was getting married the following year, and my knitting blog became my journal. It has gone through lots of changes along with my life. It’s not something I actively share, and I have several private posts not published. But I enjoy blogging, journaling, whatever you call it. My girlfriend is always amazed that I would journal online. She’s strictly pen and paper. She says I’m brave, but I’m not. I just find a very simple pleasure in putting my thoughts to words. And I have fun going back and re-reading, sometimes tweaking, prior musings. If you’re one of my few followers, enjoy!
