It’s over.

Not what you think.  Summer, I mean.  We’re looking straight into fall now.  The colors have changed, the leaves have fallen, and we now have mostly bare trees across the lake that greet us in the morning.  It’s still beautiful, every day, but it’s getting cooler now.  Thankfully we have a lovely wood stove that lets us leave our doors wide open even as we warm up the inside.  But once the snow flies, it’ll be back to cozy-ing up for the long months of winter.
